Update: This is the last of four meetings this season, but the Ducks will need to regroup after falling 5-2 to the Sharks on Saturday. In that game, center Ryan Getzlaf, the Ducks’ leading scorer, suffered a leg laceration and is questionable. The team already is without the scoring punch of Teemu Selanne (broken hand), Ryan Carter (broken foot) and Joffrey Lupul (back), although Carter has been practicing with the team and is listed as questionable for tonight’s game. The Ducks also placed forward Kyle Calder (two assists in 14 games) on waivers Monday. Minnesota already has set a franchise record for wins in December with 10 while goaltender Niklas Backstrom has won seven of his last ninewith a 2.00 goals-against average.
