James became the fastest player in NBA history to reach the 12,000-point plateau. At 24 years 35 days, he did it quicker than Kobe Bryant, who was 25 years 220 days when he did it.

at Houston 107, Chicago 100: Yao Ming scored 28 points and Luis Scola matched a career high with 18 rebounds for the Rockets.

at Denver 104, San Antonio 96: The Spurs were without Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili. Ginobili has a bruised hip, and Coach Gregg Popovich gave Duncan and Parker the night off after the overtime win at Golden State on Monday. Carmelo Anthony scored 35 points for the Nuggets.
