Connecticut junior guard Jerome Dyson, the team’s second-leading scorer with an average of 13.2 points a game, will require surgery on his right knee and could miss the rest of the season.

Dyson was injured Wednesday night less than four minutes into the top-ranked Huskies’ 63-49 win over Syracuse. He banged knees with a Syracuse player as he fought through a screen and had to be helped from the court.

Arkansas freshman point guard Courtney Fortson was suspended indefinitely by Coach John Pelphrey for an undisclosed reason. He is averaging 14.6 points and 6.5 assists.
