Update: The Kings will try to salvage a win on this three-game homestand after losing to Calgary in regulation time and to Edmonton in a shootout. On Sunday they sent forward Oscar Moller to Manchester of the American Hockey League on a conditioning assignment and assigned defenseman Davis Drewiske to Manchester. Coach Terry Murray had said Saturday that Moller would have to play on the top two lines to stay with the Kings, and he didn’t want to disrupt his line combinations to make room for him. Moller played one game since recovering from the fractured clavicle he suffered during the world junior championships. The Thrashers haven’t visited Staples Center since Jan. 19, 2006, an 8-6 victory by the Kings.
