Update: The Ducks hit the road for six games, all against teams that would be in the playoffs if they began today. Sitting in ninth place, the Ducks need to find the consistency that has eluded them all season if they hope to remain in the race. Of course, by the time they return home March 4 -- the day of the trading deadline -- they could look different. Teams will begin to inquire about veterans, particularly Chris Pronger, and with the Ducks bumped up against the salary cap, General Manager Bob Murray will listen. On Thursday, the Ducks sent defenseman Brett Festerling to Iowa and recalled defenseman Brian Salcido, a native of Hermosa Beach.
