CALIFORNIA BRIEFING / CORONA

A man who owned an auto component manufacturing firm was sentenced to eight years in federal prison for distributing child pornography, officials said Wednesday.

William Kreag Donahoe, 39, told an undercover detective in an online chat room in early 2007 that he had pictures of himself having sex with one of his daughters, according to the U.S. attorney’s office. The owner of Donahoe Enterprises Inc. in Corona then sent pornographic images of a different man and a girl. Donahoe did not have a daughter at the time, officials said.

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Department, the Corona Police Department and the FBI began an investigation that included the search of Donahoe Racing, where authorities found a computer with images of child pornography and evidence that Donahoe had traded the images worldwide. Donahoe was arrested at his business in December 2007. In addition to his prison sentence, he was ordered to be under supervised release for the rest of his life.
