Another bone for ‘Slumdog’

The Golden Globes’ big winner, “Slumdog Millionaire,” earned yet another nomination Monday morning for the 59th annual American Cinema Editors’ Eddie Award.

“Slumdog” editor Chris Dickens received a nomination in the best edited dramatic feature film category along with Angus Wall and Kirk Baxter for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” Lee Smith for “The Dark Knight,” Mike Hill and Dan Hanley for “Frost/Nixon” and Elliot Graham for “Milk.”

Vying in the best edited feature film comedy or musical are Jon Gregory for “In Bruges,” Leslie Walker for “Mamma Mia!,” Greg Hayden for “Tropic Thunder,” Alisa Lepselter for “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” and Stephen Schaffer for “Wall-E.”

On the television side, nominees for best edited half-hour series are Meg Reticker for the “Reunion” episode of “30 Rock,” Jeff Groth for the “Playing With Fire” episode of “Entourage,” and Dean Holland and David Rogers for the “Goodbye Toby” installment of “The Office.”

In contention for best edited one-hour series for commercial TV are Craig Bench for the “True Love” episode of “Boston Legal,” Lynne Willingham for the pilot of “Breaking Bad” and Karen Stern for the “Authority” episode of “Law & Order: SVU.”

Nominees for best edited one-hour series for noncommercial TV are Eric Sears for the “Los Muertos” installment of “Crash,” Michael Ruscio for the “Strange Love” episode of “True Blood” and Karen Sanford for the “More With Less” episode of “The Wire.”

Best edited miniseries or motion picture made for noncommercial TV nominees are Andy Keir for “Bernard and Doris,” Melanie Oliver for “John Adams” and Alan Baumgarten for “Recount.”

Vying for best edited miniseries or motion picture for commercial TV are Scott Powell for “24: Redemption,” David J. Siegel for “The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice,” and Henk Van Eeghen, Robert Florio, Mark J. Goldman and Stephen Semel for “Lost: There’s No Place Like Home.”

Documentary nominees are Steve Audette for “Bush’s War,” Stuart Levy for “Chicago 10” and Jinx Godfrey for “Man on Wire.”

In contention for best edited reality series are Eric Lasby for the “New Orleans” installment of “Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations,” Kelly Coskran and Ed Greene for the “Fresh Blood” episode of “The Deadliest Catch” and Leonard Feinstein for “Greensburg: The Tornado.”

The awards will be handed out at a gala Feb. 15 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
