The Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified Covina resident Sylvia Pardo, 43, and Michael Ortiz, 17, of Ontario, as the last of nine victims who were killed in a shooting and fire on Christmas Eve.
Police said it was Pardo’s ex-husband, Bruce Pardo, who dressed up as Santa Claus and attacked the family at their Covina home. He later committed suicide.
Coroner’s officials already identified seven of the victims. Also killed were Ortiz’s mother, Alicia Ortiz, 46; Charles Ortega, 50, of West Covina and his wife, Cheri Ortega, 45; Joseph Ortega, 80, and his wife, Alicia Ortega, 70; Teresa Ortega, 51, and her husband James Ortega, 52.
