The body of a man who was shot in the head and set on fire was discovered Sunday morning near the Whittier Narrows Dam, according to Montebello police.
The dead man appeared to be 20 to 30 years old, according to police. Authorities found the remains near a road after responding to a report of a fire in the area. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
