Thank you for printing that genuinely poignant article by Quincy Jones [“We Owned the ‘80s,” June 30].

I am so, so sad about Michael Jackson’s death. I am also terribly fed up with all the buzz after his untimely demise. It is all rumor, conjecture, hearsay and nonsense. Like Quincy Jones said: “noise.”

Michael gave us all so much joy with his talent and music, and we will all continue to feel that joy as long as his music is played.

Let’s just celebrate that beautiful grand legacy that Quincy Jones referred to.
