Walter Cronkite’s final resting place will be next to his late wife, Betsy, in the family plot at a cemetery in Kansas City, Mo., his chief of staff said. The 92-year-old former CBS anchorman died Friday at his New York City home.
A private funeral service was scheduled for Cronkite on Thursday at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Manhattan. A memorial is to be held within the next month at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
