Minnesota Twins beat Texas Rangers, 4-2

Minnesota 4, at Texas 1: Scott Baker gave up one run in eight innings and Michael Cuddyer homered as the Twins handed the Rangers their fourth consecutive loss and dropped them three games behind the Angels in the AL West.

at Chicago 4, Baltimore 3: Mark Buehrle (10-3) pitched into the eighth inning, Jermaine Dye hit a go-ahead two-run homer and the White Sox pulled within 1 1/2 games of AL Central-leading Detroit -- the closest they’ve been to the division lead since May 3.

at Toronto 6, Boston 2: Adam Lind hit a two-run homer and Marc Rzepczynski earned his first major league win. The left-handed Rzepczynski (1-1), from UC Riverside, gave up one run and four hits in six innings.

Seattle 3, at Cleveland 1: Jarrod Washburn went 6 2/3 innings and lowered his earned-run average to 2.87, fifth-best in the American League. Franklin Gutierrez homered for a second straight night for the Mariners.

Tampa Bay 4, at Kansas City 2: Willy Aybar was four for four, including an RBI double for the go-ahead run in the eighth, as the Royals wasted a good effort by Zack Greinke, who departed after seven innings with a 2-1 lead.

Angels 11, at Oakland 6: Chone Figgins hit a rare leadoff home run.
