Gunmen fired on a convoy of 12 buses carrying employees of U.S. mining company Freeport, the latest attack on the world’s largest gold mine, Indonesia’s state news agency said.

Two people were killed in the attack in Papua province, Antara reported. It did not identify the victims.

A witness said that a police vehicle escorting the convoy overturned during the attack. Several injured officers were taken to a clinic, and two body bags were later removed.
