Phillies’ Rollins slams Cardinals
Jimmy Rollins hit a go-ahead grand slam and had a career-high five runs batted in, Shane Victorino was four for four, including a home run, and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the St. Louis Cardinals, 14-6, Saturday.
Cardinals center fielder Rick Ankiel hit a home run and robbed Jayson Werth of a two-run shot.
Rollins connected against reliever Jason Motte (3-4) in the sixth inning to give Philadelphia a 7-4 lead. Victorino followed with a home run.
The National League East-leading Phillies have won 16 of 19.
Matt Holliday was two for four with a walk in his second game with the Cardinals.
