Buddle’s goal wins it for Galaxy, 1-0

Edson Buddle scored his third goal in as many games Tuesday night to lead the Galaxy to a 1-0 victory over Club Sport Herediano of Costa Rica in an international soccer friendly at the Home Depot Center. Coach Bruce Arena fielded a mix of starters and reserves in the exhibition.

Buddle’s goal came in the 12th minute off a pass from Leo Griffin as the teams took nine shots apiece. Buddle had earlier scored in back-to-back MLS games, first earning Los Angeles a 1-1 tie with Kansas City, then scoring the game-winner in a 2-1 win at Toronto to run the Galaxy’s unbeaten streak in league play to 10 games.
