at Colorado 6, Seattle 4: Ubaldo Jimenez pitched the second complete game of his career and had an RBI single to help the Rockies extend their winning streak to nine games.

at San Francisco 3, Oakland 0: Tim Lincecum (6-1) pitched a seven-hitter for the Giants’ seventh shutout of the season. Lincecum struck out eight and walked one to win his sixth consecutive decision.

Boston 5, at Philadelphia 2 (13 innings): Jacoby Ellsbury hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the 13th inning and the Red Sox won a matchup between division leaders after Ryan Howard’s solo homer tied the score in the ninth.

Minnesota 7, at Chicago Cubs 4: Joe Mauer rediscovered his power stroke with a homer and three RBIs and Kevin Slowey became the majors’ second nine-game winner. Slowey (9-2) gave up three runs and four hits over six innings, striking out 10 and walking one.

Detroit 3, at Pittsburgh 1: Rick Porcello threw seven crisp innings and had a pair of RBI singles for his first major league hits. Placido Polanco went four for four for the AL Central-leading Tigers, who have won six of eight. Porcello (7-4) gave up one run and six hits.

at Cleveland 7, St. Louis 3: A day after his winning hit glanced off a gull in the outfield, Shin-Soo Choo drove in three runs to help rookie David Huff get his second big league win. Huff (2-2), making his sixth major league start, gave up a leadoff homer to Albert Pujols in the fourth and left with one out in the eighth.

Florida 7, at Toronto 3: Cody Ross hit a tiebreaking grand slam, Chris Coghlan had a career-high four hits and the Marlins won in Toronto for the sixth consecutive time. Ross’ third grand slam of the season and fifth of his career came off Blue Jays right-hander Brandon League (1-3).

Atlanta 7, at Baltimore 2: Brian McCann tied a career high with four hits and Tommy Hanson recorded his first major league victory for the Braves.

at Tampa Bay 4, Washington 3: One pitch after an error by Nick Johnson prolonged his at-bat, Gabe Kapler hit a pinch-hit home run that broke an eighth-inning tie.

at Milwaukee 7, Chicago White Sox 2: Struggling Corey Hart drove in three runs with a double and a triple and saved two more with a diving catch as the Brewers ended a four-game losing streak.

at Kansas City 4, Cincinnati 1: Luke Hochevar needed only 80 pitches as he tossed a three-hitter in his first career complete game. Alberto Callaspo hit a two-run homer for the Royals.

at Arizona 8, at Houston 1: Dan Haren pitched his fifth career two-hitter, and Mark Reynolds drove in five runs with a homer and three doubles.

at Texas 6, Dodgers 0: The Rangers got their second straight shutout.

at Angels 11, San Diego 6: Matt Palmer gave up 10 hits but improved to 6-0.
