MT. EMMY: To reach the pinnacle or, in this case, the golden Emmy, wrap yourself in raves and pack lots of buzz. Altitude readings are by Dawn Chmielewski, Maria Elena Fernandez, Elena Howe, Tom O’Neil and Richard Rushfield.

PEAKING

LOOK-ALIKES: Are we the only ones who

get Jeanne Tripplehorn, top, and Marcia Gay Harden confused? Here’s the one thing we’re straight on: One of them just won a Tony and the other deserves an Emmy, just don’t ask us to say which is which.

CLIMBING

KIND OF A DRAG: We don’t know who could ever replace RuPaul, right, as the world’s top drag queen, but we sure enjoy watching his “Drag Race” contestants try. Kudos to Ru for not only hosting, mentoring and judging but also reminding us we need to love ourselves before we can love another.

WHAAA? It is an odd world in which Ted McGinley (top, with Genie Francis) and Ian McKellen are back to back on the ballot for lead actor nominations, in a miniseries or movie. We’re just saying.

AT BASE CAMP

JUST DANCE: Grammy nominee Lady Gaga, left, performed on the “Dancing With the Stars” finale. We’re wondering if the artist, who has penned songs for Fergie, Britney Spears and the Pussycat Dolls, needed a name tag for the show’s average 55-year-old viewers?

BAD FORM: When the mother-deaf son team got into a horrible, uncomfortable fight with the two athletic sisters on “The Amazing Race,” host Phil Keoghan, left, did nothing. For that, we say shame on you.

LOOKING FOR A SHERPA

NOW THAT’S A HIGH NOTE: “American Idol” had one of its most exciting seasons in years, but it’s probably going to take more than Adam Lambert’s falsetto to shatter “The Amazing Race’s” incredible winning streak.

MIA: We have to wonder why 2007 supporting actor winner Terry O’Quinn, above, who had such an intriguing season on “Lost,” is not on the Emmy ballot? Maybe he stepped aside to up the odds for one of his cast mates?

HILTON IN? An Emmy for celeb blogger Perez Hilton? It could happen. He’s up for reality show host for his stint on “Bad Girls Club Reunion: Unresolved Issues.” He should have entered video from his website, since that probably got more views than his Oxygen show.
