Chicago forward Luol Deng will miss at least two more weeks because of a tiny stress fracture in his right leg.

Deng has had pain in the leg for more than a week, and tried to work out Monday before the Bulls visited the Miami Heat. Deng said doctors in Miami and Chicago have determined that there is a “very small, not even a hairline” fracture in the leg.

Bulls Coach Vinny Del Negro said Deng would be re-evaluated later this month. If Deng still has pain at that time, season-ending surgery would be a possible scenario.

Celtics hurting

The Boston Celtics will not dress five players when they play in Miami on Wednesday. Coach Doc Rivers ruled out Rajon Rondo and Glen Davis after both sprained their right ankles over the weekend.

They join Kevin Garnett, Brian Scalabrine and Tony Allen on the sidelines. Garnett has a sprained right knee and Allen has an injured left thumb. Scalabrine has post-concussion syndrome.

Barkley out of jail

Former NBA star Charles Barkley was released from a Phoenix jail after serving a three-day sentence on a drunk-driving conviction. Barkley left the Tent City jail just before 8 a.m. Monday, and avoided a group of reporters by leaving through another door, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Brian Lee said.
