AT COLORADO

Time: 6 PDT.

On the air: TV: Prime. Radio: 830.

Where: Pepsi Center.

Record: Ducks 36-31-6, Avalanche 31-40-2.

Record vs. Avalanche: 2-0.

Update: After Tuesday’s draining 2-1 shootout victory over Nashville, which propelled the Ducks into eighth place in the Western Conference, they’ll be walking into a trap game. Colorado has lost four in a row and is last in the West. Jean-Sebastian Giguere was outstanding in goal against Nashville, making several key saves late and stopping all four shots in the shootout, but Coach Randy Carlyle will have a tough call to make on whether he can play back-to-back nights. Another question will be how much the speedy line of Andrew Ebbett, Teemu Selanne and Bobby Ryan has left. The Ducks have little margin for error. They’re tied with Nashville (but own the tiebreaker based on wins), are one point ahead of St. Louis, and two ahead of Minnesota.
