The Arizona Diamondbacks might yet challenge the Dodgers in the National League West, but not until they mix in a hit or two. Arizona roared to a 6 1/2 -game lead in the division last April, powered by a young corps of position players. But these Diamondbacks will arrive at Dodger Stadium with a losing record, and they finished April at .231, the lowest batting average in the majors. That young corps includes catcher Chris Snyder (.150), outfielder Chris Young (.198), outfielder Conor Jackson (.203) and shortstop Stephen Drew (.205).
