Rangers rally to complete sweep of Mariners

New York 3, at Toronto 2: Back from nagging injuries, Derek Jeter and Hideki Matsui delivered key hits to help CC Sabathia (3-3) and the Yankees. Jeter tied the score with an RBI single in the seventh inning, Matsui put New York ahead with a solo homer in the eighth and Mariano Rivera worked a perfect ninth for his seventh save in eight chances.

Cleveland 11, at Tampa Bay 7: Victor Martinez, Shin-Soo Choo and Asdrubal Cabrera had four hits apiece, with Martinez raising his average to .400 and driving in four runs. Fausto Carmona (2-4) made it interesting after being staked to a 9-0 lead.

Baltimore 9, at Kansas City 5: Cesar Izturis and Nick Markakis each drove in three runs and the Orioles improved to 24-7 in the Royals’ ballpark since 2001.
