Update: Monday’s friendly international between Canada and the U.S. at BMO Field in Toronto has left the Sol short of four players for today’s match. Goalkeeper Karina LeBlanc and defender Martina Franko have been called up by Canada, and defender Brittany Bock and midfielder Shannon Boxx are with the U.S. squad. Sol Coach Abner Rogers will give former UCLA goalkeeper Val Henderson her Women’s Professional Soccer debut in place of LeBlanc, who has six shutouts in seven WPS games. The Bay Area-based Gold Pride will be minus goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart and defender Rachel Buehler. Both are with the U.S. team. Allison Whitworth will be in the nets for the Pride and will make her first pro start.
