Question: Andrew Bynum is my new hero. Finally, someone on the Lakers made some good, hard fouls in the paint. On several plays, Bynum made the Nuggets pay. Way to go Andrew!

Lakers worst-case scenario

Denver has three players with double-figure rebounds. Nobody else helps Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol with scoring. J.R. Smith makes a ton of ridiculous three-pointers. Sound familiar?

My worst-case scenario

It pretty much happened Tuesday.

My 7 a.m. flight back to L.A. was delayed, I sat in a middle seat, almost missed Bryant’s interview session with reporters after practice, discovered that SoCal Edison was threatening to turn off my power because last month’s check got lost in the mail (true story), and indulged in some soggy nachos at a sports bar.

Too much fun.

Final thought

It’s time to plan the victory parade. Start it at City Hall, bring it south on Broadway and end it at Staples Center. After all, I correctly picked a game in this series!

I’ll take the Lakers this time but only by a hair.
