He can see beyond the limits
You’ve hit on so many things that set Adam apart from his contemporaries that it’s hard to elaborate on any single point. But in your last paragraph you touch on what I call Adam’s selective blindness to boxes. Ok, so he knows there are boundaries and boxes and labels and genres and conventions but he doesn’t really see them. Not out of defiance, but just because his vision spreads far wider than those limits.
I hope he always stays free and wild and that journalists like you continue to get what he’s about. I hope we never completely get him.
