Update: With a win today, Chivas USA can significantly harm D.C. United’s playoff chances while at the same time enhancing its own prospects. The teams tied, 2-2, on May 16, when Chivas USA allowed a two-lead to evaporate in the final 15 minutes. D.C. United has lost two in a row at home and was recently upset by the San Jose Earthquakes. Starting goalkeeper Josh Wicks suffered a shoulder separation in the San Jose game and is sidelined. Milos Kocic will start in his place. Costa Rican midfielder Rodney Wallace is serving a suspension, as is Chivas USA midfielder Marcelo Saragosa. Defender Lawson Vaughn, cut recently by Chivas, now starts for D.C. United.
