Update: Chivas USA’s failure to get at least one point Thursday night in Chicago has opened the door for the Galaxy. If the Galaxy wins tonight and Seattle loses at home against FC Dallas, the Sounders would finish fourth and play the Galaxy in the first round of the playoffs. But if the Galaxy ties or loses and Seattle wins, the first-through-fourth places in the conference will not be decided until Chivas USA plays the Houston Dynamo in Carson on Sunday. -- Grahame L.
