at No. 24 Nebraska 49, Florida Atlantic 3: Roy Helu Jr. ran for 152 yards and three touchdowns and Zac Lee passed for 213 yards and two scores in his first start as the Cornhuskers won their 24th consecutive opener, the longest streak in the nation.

at No. 25 Kansas 49, Northern Colorado 3: Todd Reesing sparked the slow-starting Jayhawks with two rushing touchdowns, then passed for two more in front of 53,530 at Memorial Stadium, the biggest home crowd in school history.

Missouri 37, Illinois 9: Blaine Gabbert passed for 313 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for a touchdown in a stellar starting debut at St. Louis as the Tigers won their fifth straight in the neutral-site series.

at Texas A&M; 41, New Mexico 6: Jerrod Johnson threw for 349 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a score to lead the Aggies.

at Texas Tech 38, North Dakota 13: Taylor Potts threw for two touchdowns and ran for two others for the Red Raiders.

at Kansas State 21, Massachusetts 17: The Wildcats had a less-than-stellar start to the second Bill Snyder era but held off the Minutemen behind Carson Coffman’s two touchdown passes.
