If you are seeking a starter tour of Northern California’s wine country, consider this from Visit California.
The deal: The Napa and Sonoma Wine-Tasting Package includes a night at Westin San Francisco Market Street and a daylong tour of wine country. The bus leaves downtown San Francisco at 8 a.m. and stops at three wineries, starting in the Sonoma Valley and continuing to Napa Valley in the afternoon. Lunch and wine-tasting fees are not included in the price. I found the package for as little as $157 a person, based on double occupancy.
