Shared pension costs: An article in Monday’s LATExtra section about cities’ sharing the cost of pensions for highly paid Bell officials said that La Cañada Flintridge and Goleta were among the cities in the same pension liability pool as Bell. They are not. Bell’s pool includes Norco, Ridgecrest and Morro Bay, among other cities.

CPR and heart attacks: An article in the July 29 Section A on the relative effectiveness of compression-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation did not properly distinguish between a heart attack and cardiac arrest. CPR should be administered during arrest — that is, when the heart stops pumping blood effectively. A heart attack — in which blood supply to the heart is blocked — can cause cardiac arrest. But heart attacks do not warrant CPR unless cardiac arrest occurs.

“Young Frankenstein” musical: The Sunday Conversation column about Mel Brooks in Sunday’s Calendar section said that the musical version of “Young Frankenstein” closes at the Pantages Theatre on Aug. 15. It closes Aug. 8.

Dorm shopping: A Parentology column in the Home section Saturday on moving college-bound students into dorms said Bard College was 90 miles south of New York City. The college is about 90 miles north of New York.

Hoarding statistics: An It’s All Relative column in the July 17 Home section said that as many as 6 million people, or 1 in 20, may be affected by hoarding, according to the book “Stuff: Compulsive Hoarding and the Meaning of Things.” Actually, epidemiology studies show a range: from 1 in 50 people in the U.S., or 6 million, to 1 in 20 people, or 15 million, according to the author, Gail Steketee.

Online sale sites: An article in Sunday’s Image section listing various private online sale sites said that Ideeli.com sales last 72 hours. The sales last 40 hours, or until items sell out.
