Records against New

Update: Red Bulls forward Thierry Henry, the French star who suffered a groin injury Sunday against the Chicago Fire, is expected to play. New York should also have new designated player Rafa Marquez, Mexico’s national team captain, and goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul. For the Galaxy, forward David Beckham is still a way off from returning, but this week he was back on the practice field for the first time since tearing his Achilles’ tendon in March. The Galaxy, which hasn’t played an MLS match since a 3-2 loss to Chicago on Aug. 1, still leads the Western Conference, and the Red Bulls are second in the East.
