Week ahead for Dodgers

Tuesday through Thursday: vs. Colorado

Friday through Sunday: vs. Cincinnati

The Dodgers did not face Roy Halladay, the National League’s strikeout leader, during last week’s series in Philadelphia. And they might not face Ubaldo Jimenez, who at 17-3 leads the majors in winning percentage (.850), when the Rockies visit this week. The Dodgers could certainly use the break since they entered Friday 15th among the league’s 16 teams in scoring over the last month. And they have been shut out 13 times this season, or once every nine games. Those numbers don’t figure to get much better when the Reds visit Dodger Stadium. Among NL teams, only the Padres have allowed fewer earned runs than Cincinnati since the All-Star game.
