Gonzaga routs Pepperdine

Matt Bouldin had 18 points and five assists to help No. 13 Gonzaga defeat Pepperdine, 72-54, Saturday night at Malibu.

Elias Harris scored 13 points and Steven Gray scored 12 for the Bulldogs (22-5, 10-2 in West Coast Conference play), who won for the 14th time in 16 games.

The Bulldogs need one more victory to secure the top seeding in the WCC tournament and clinch at least a tie for their 10th consecutive regular-season title.

Keion Bell had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Waves (7-21, 3-9), who have lost nine games in a row and 11 of 14. Mychel Thompson scored 11 points.

Loyola Marymount 77, Portland 68 (OT) -- Vernon Teel had 24 points and 11 rebounds to lead the host Lions (15-13, 6-6 WCC), who have won four of their last five games.

T.J. Campbell led the Pilots (17-9, 8-4) with 17 points.

Drake 90, Cal State Northridge 80 -- Josh Young made a season-high five three-point baskets and finished with 20 points to lead the Bulldogs (13-16).

Lenny Daniel led the host Matadors (10-17) with 22 points. Kenny Daniels scored 15 points and Raymond Cody had 12 points on four three-pointers.

Cal State Fullerton 78, Southern Illinois Edwardsville 74 -- Gerard Anderson and Jacques Streeter each scored 20 points for the Titans (14-12), who never trailed.

Devon Peltier scored 16 points and Jer’Vaughn Johnson had 12 for the Titans. Anderson had 12 rebounds and teammate Aaron Thompson had 11.

Mark Yelovich had 32 points and 10 rebounds for the Cougars (4-22).

UC Irvine 66, Marist 65 -- Eric Wise had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Darren Moore had 13 points and 12 rebounds to help lift the Anteaters (12-16).

Devin Price had 18 points for Marist (1-26), which lost its 15th game in a row.

Long Beach State 77, Idaho 66 -- T.J. Robinson got his 16th double-double of the season as he scored 22 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to carry the 49ers (13-14) at Moscow, Idaho.

Casper Ware, who was 10 for 10 from the free-throw line, scored 20 points for the 49ers. Steffan Johnson had 13 points for Idaho (13-13).

UC Riverside 62, Youngstown State 60 -- David Chavarria’s basket just before the final buzzer lifted the Highlanders (11-15).

The Penguins (8-19) tied the score, 60-60, on a basket by Vytas Sulskis with 24 seconds to go.

UC Santa Barbara 64, Fresno State 60 -- Orlando Johnson had 23 points, including the clinching free throws for the Gauchos (16-8).

Mike Ladd had 16 points for the Bulldogs (13-15).

Women

UCLA 73, Washington 55 -- Markel Walker scored 19 points and the host Bruins (17-7, 10-3 Pacific 10) won their third game in a row.

The Huskies (9-15, 4-10) were led by Kristi Kingma, who scored 10 points.

Washington State 64, USC 52 -- The Cougars (7-18, 2-12 Pac-10) ended a losing streak against the Trojans (13-11, 7-6) at 19 games by defeating them for the first time since Jan. 4, 2001, and for the first time in Los Angeles since Jan. 28, 1999.
