Tahiti for a little while

Shoot the curl on a tempestuous South Pacific sea or bask in the sun on the golden shores of Tahiti without leaving home during a 3-D Imax journey at the California Science Center in L.A.’s Exposition Park

The new Imax film “The Ultimate Wave Tahiti 3D” will continue through June. It features nine-time world surfing champion Kelly Slater tackling the treacherous reef break at Teahupoo off Tahiti, home of some of the world’s most challenging surfing. The beautiful volcanic islands of French Polynesia also star in the film, which contains spectacular footage of Tahiti’s pristine waters and environment. The film is shown several times daily; tickets are available at the center or online and are $5 for children 4 to 12, $6 for students and seniors and $8.25 for adults.
