Proposition 8 trial: An article Tuesday in Section A about the first day of a federal trial on the constitutionality of Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in California, said supporters of same-sex marriage demonstrated outside the San Francisco courthouse. Demonstrators included both supporters and opponents of same-sex marriage.

Mitchell obituary: A news obituary of record producer Willie Mitchell that appeared in Section A Jan. 6 reported that he received a Trustees Award from the Grammy Foundation in 2008. The award was granted by the Recording Academy.

Working Hollywood: The Working Hollywood column in Sunday’s Calendar said that supervisor, sound designer and re-recording mixer Paul N.J. Ottosson went to Jordan to record sounds for the film “ The Hurt Locker.” Ray Beckett was the production sound mixer working on location in Jordan for the movie.

“The Burning Plain”: The New This Week column about DVD releases in Sunday’s Calendar section listed the Blu-ray price of the film “The Burning Plain” as $34.98. The correct price is $29.98.

Cruise ship: An article in Business on Monday about a proposed cruise ship that would offer residences for sale said that another ship, the Oasis of the Sea, weighs 225,000 tons. The vessel’s name is the Oasis of the Seas, and the tonnage is not the weight but the interior volume of the ship, measured in gross tons.
