FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The New England Revolution ended its losing streak at three games with a 2-0 victory over the Western Conference-leading Galaxy on Saturday night.

Marko Perovic gave the Revolution (4-9-2) the lead after 67 minutes by smashing a free kick inside the far post to end his team’s scoreless streak at 347 minutes. Sainey Nyassi capped the scoring from close range seven minutes later to send the Galaxy (11-2-3) to defeat.

The Galaxy left Landon Donovan behind in Los Angeles to give him more time to recover from the World Cup. Omar Gonzalez also did not play, because he received a one-match ban for yellow card accumulation.
