Jobless benefits bill: Articles in Section A on Saturday and Tuesday about the efforts of Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Ky.) to block an extension of unemployment benefits and health insurance payments said he would retire from the Senate this year. His term runs through Jan. 3.

Alec Baldwin: An article in Wednesday’s Envelope section about actor Alec Baldwin’s Oscar hosting duties said he had recently visited the hospital after having been found unresponsive. Baldwin had not been found unresponsive.

Robert Pattinson: A Smart List item in Sunday’s Calendar section about actor Robert Pattinson said that “Remember Me” was his first nonvampire role. It should have added “since he filmed ‘Twilight.’ ”

Charles Dutoit: A review in the Feb. 22 Calendar section of conductor Charles Dutoit with the Los Angeles Philharmonic said he had spent half a century with the Montreal Symphony. He spent 25 years there.

Alcala verdict: An article in the Feb. 26 Section A about the conviction of Rodney James Alcala on murder charges said victim Jill Parenteau was a restaurant worker. She was a data entry supervisor.

Tasting tours: In a list of gourmet-food tours in Southern California in Sunday’s Travel section, the website for A Taste of San Diego was listed incorrectly. The correct website is www.atasteof-sandiego.com.
