The Kings have lost two in a row and are only 5-5-2 since the Olympic break. But their post-Vancouver sluggishness is probably more of a threat to their playoff seeding than it is to making the postseason. Defenseman Matt Greene, out the last two games after a hit by Colorado’s Darcy Tucker that led to a one-game suspension for Tucker, skated Friday but is not expected to play. The Stars, on the outside looking in as far as the postseason, are trying to avoid a season sweep at the hands of the Kings.
