Two movies honored at this year’s Israeli Film Academy Ophir Awards — one of them Israel’s Oscars entry for consideration as best foreign language film — will close the Israel Film Festival that opens Wednesday and runs through Nov. 7 in Los Angeles.

“The Human Resources Manager,” a drama that was named best picture in Israel and is competing for one of the five finalist spots at the Academy Awards, and “Precious Life,” which won the Israeli Film Academy’s award for best documentary, will screen Nov. 7 at different theaters.

Opening with “The Matchmaker,” the 25th edition of the Israel Film Festival will present more than 30 feature films, documentaries and television dramas, screening at the Laemmle Sunset 5 in West Hollywood, the Royal in West Los Angeles and the Laemmle Fallbrook 7 in West Hills.
