New Nightlife at the Palms
The Palms is upping the nightlife ante with a pair of upscale neighborhood-style bars. The slightly hidden Scarlet (look for a curtain marked with a golden “S” near Rain) is an intimate 200-square-foot paisley-patterned space serving elegant nightcaps. Mixologist Jack “Sugar” O’Brien crafted a menu of signature infusions, including apple cinnamon vodka and spiced banana rum, each of which soaks 28 days before being served over ice.
The View, formerly the Playboy Club, sits atop the Palms Fantasy Tower on the 52nd floor and features floor-to-ceiling windows and prime Strip views. The new sky-high hangout offers a posh metallic setting and a red velvet billiards table surrounded by leather sofas. And to channel your inner (wild) child, the View boasts old-school board games like Jenga, Connect Four and checkers, along with a surprisingly classy air hockey table.
The View hosts several happy hours – from 8 to 11 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. But don’t let the relaxed vibe fool you, stylish nightlife attire is still required.
