A.J. McLean of Backstreet Boys fame has sold his longtime home in the Hollywood Hills area for $1.653 million.
The three-story Mediterranean, found on a privately owned street in the Oaks neighborhood of Los Feliz, has three bedrooms and four bathrooms in more than 3,200 square feet of living space. The open-space floor plan replete with exposed beams and built-ins features a chef’s kitchen, multiple formal areas and a covered patio with a fireplace and a built-in barbecue.
Amid the tiered grounds is a raised patio and fountain, set off by tropical landscaping. Elsewhere on the property is an attached two-car garage.
On and off the market for a number of years, the home was relisted in September at $1.795 million. McLean paid $430,000 for the home in 2001, records show.
Adam Sires and Michael Nourmand of Nourmand & Associates were the listing agents. Eugene Ridenour of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California properties represented the buyer in the sale.
McLean, 36, has been a member of the Backstreet Boys for more than two decades. He began his career in entertainment as a child actor, appearing on Disney and Nickelodeon shows.
