Singers-actors Idina Menzel and Aaron Lohr buy a house in Encino

Singers and actors Idina Menzel and Aaron Lohr have bought an Encino house for $2.675 million, public records show.

The Mediterranean-style home is set on more than three-quarters of an acre with cityscape and canyon views.

Built in 1959 and since updated, the 4,708-square-foot house is entered through hand-carved Peruvian doors. Living spaces include connected living, dining and family rooms, an updated kitchen with a center island, an office, a laundry room, five bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Sliding glass doors open at the back of the house to a covered patio, lawn and a swimming pool with a spa.

The Tony-Award winning Menzel, 44, played Elphaba in “Wicked.” She was in “Rent” on Broadway and in the 2005 film version. The powerful singer has been on a dozen episodes of the series “Glee” and voiced Queen Elsa in the 2013 film “Frozen.”

Lohr, 39, was also in the stage and film version of “Rent.” He starred as a youngster in the late 1980s series “Bustin’ Loose.”

Kelly Sutherland of Coldwell Banker and Nancie Richards of Douglas Elliman were the listing agents. Michael Collins of Coldwell Banker and Daniel Banchik of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties represented the buyers.
