Apple kicks off back-to-school deals with discounts and gift cards
Apple’s annual back-to-school promotion kicked off Tuesday with discounts on computers and gift cards for college students and K-12 educators purchasing Macs, iPhones and iPads.
Qualifying customers purchasing a new Mac will receive a $100 gift card that can be used to purchase apps, music, movies, books and other content from Apple’s digital stores.
For iPhone and iPad purchases, qualifying customers will receive a $50 gift card that can be used in the same way.
The tech giant is also offering qualified customers discounts on computers. Some Macs, like the 11-inch 128-gigabyte MacBook Air, have been reduced by $50. Others, like the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display laptops, are being discounted by $200.
