Car slams into restaurant at Westlake strip mall, injuring five people
Five people were injured Sunday evening when a vehicle slammed into a strip-mall restaurant in Westlake, authorities said.
The crash at 806 S. Alvarado St. happened about 5 p.m., said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Margaret Stewart.
Five people were taken to a hospital, three of them in critical condition.
No other details were available on the circumstances of the crash.
