Patti LuPone will be playing a supporting role in Los Angeles Opera’s upcoming production of “The Ghosts of Versailles,” which begins February. That same month, the Broadway diva will have the spotlight all to herself in a concert across town at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.

LuPone will perform her concert “Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda... Played that Part” at the Wallis in Beverly Hills for one show only on Feb. 12. The concert will include numbers from musicals that the actress could have played, would have played or should have played, as well as those that she did or will play.

The program is expected to include songs from two of her most famous Broadway musicals -- “Evita” and “Gypsy” -- as well as “West Side Story,” “Funny Girl” and others.

LuPone has performed versions of the concert around the country, including in New York at 54 Below. In 2001, she performed a version of the concert at the Hollywood Bowl with the L.A. Philharmonic.

The Broadway star is scheduled to appear in L.A. Opera’s new staging of Corigliano’s “The Ghosts of Versailles.” She will play the comic role of Samira, originated in 1991 by Marilyn Horne at the Metropolitan Opera. Performances at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion are set to run from Feb. 7 to March 1.
