Sequels “Despicable Me 2” and “Fast & Furious 6” were again the two bestselling DVD and Blu-ray titles for the week that ended Jan. 4, according to Rentrak.

That marks the fourth straight week the animated comedy and the high-octane thriller have earned the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively.

“Despicable Me 2” was the third highest-grossing 2013 movie in the U.S. and Canada, generating $368 million in ticket sales and $568 million abroad for a worldwide total of nearly $936 million.

The minion-filled feature, with the voices of Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig, opened in theaters in China this weekend to big results. It grossed $14.4 million from 4,500 theaters, giving it the third biggest animated film opening in that country, behind “Kung Fu Panda” and “Ice Age: Continental Drift.”

The only new release on the DVD/Blu-ray sales chart is “Don Jon,” starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a young New Jersey man who is trying to find true love and intimacy, despite his obsession with Internet porn. The R-rated romantic comedy, which earned generally positive reviews from critics, opened in ninth place.

The comedy “We’re the Millers” was the top-ranked rental.
