Grammys 2013: Beyonce’s graphic jumpsuit a stunning surprise

Share

Everywhere you turn, it seems Beyoncé has taken over the world. The superstar singer performed for President Obama at the inauguration last month and managed to brush off the accompanying lip sync scandal with style and grace. She’s on the cover of the March issue of Vogue with the line “Queen B ! Beyoncé rules the world!” She had the twitterverse buzzing with #Beyoncebowl after her killer halftime performance at the Super Bowl. And she looked good doing all of it.

Whether on stage in a Rubin Singer leather and lace number at the Super Bowl or ducking paparazzi in a sweater and jeans with rapper-husband Jay-Z, Beyoncé knows how to work her curves. She tends to don revealing attire such as minis, bodysuits or gowns with plunging necklines.

That’s why her outfit at the 55th Grammy Awards, where she took home the award for traditional R&B; performance for her single “Love On Top,” was a surprise. The Osman Studio graphic black and white crepe jumpsuit and heels were chic and subdued. Beyoncé wore her hair in a simple low ponytail, with a pop of red on her lips, simple earrings and Art Deco bangles. The look was unexpected, but she nailed it.
