As Jennifer Lawrence came down the red carpet, the train on her gown seemed to trail on endlessly behind her. She’d actually cut off six inches of it already before the show, the nominee said.

“It would have been too insane,” she said.

Still, the dress was long enough to hide Lawrence’s feet and high heels, which she said she should take off if nobody could see them.

Lawrence has had a case of loose lips as she’s made her way down the awards trail this year. She raised eyebrows when she said, “Look, it says, ‘I beat Meryl,’” after she received the Golden Globe for lead actress in a motion picture comedy or musical.

“My biggest fear is speaking publicly,” said the lead actress nominee for “Silver Linings Playbook.”

“I’m so nervous about presenting, I’m trying not to think about what I would say if I won.”

She had more pressing matters at hand, anyway.

“I’m freaking starving,” she said, before pointing at a McDonald’s down Hollywood Boulevard. She jokingly asked her publicist if she could swing by and pick her up a burger.

“I’d eat in a bathroom at this point,” Lawrence said, “and someone would catch me sitting on the toilet and eating, and I’d be like, ‘What?’”
