Holy party crashers, Batman! Ben Affleck hits kids’ Superman party

Holy party-crashing superheroes, Batman! Ben Affleck totally crashed a Superman-themed kids’ birthday bash!

Affleck, 41, and his wife, Jennifer Garner, 42, stopped by the festivities at Detroit Kid City in Southfield, Mich., on Sunday looking for a place for their 2-year-old son, Samuel, to hang out, the Detroit Free Press reported.

The venue, however, was closed for a private party that boasted a Man of Steel theme -- which turned out to be a convenient coincidence, as the two-time Oscar winner is currently in Detroit with his family to film Warner Bros.’ “Man of Steel” follow-up, “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.” In it, Affleck plays the latest incarnation of Gotham City’s Caped Crusader and Henry Cavill reprises his role as the Big Blue Boy Scout.

Anyway, the Afflecks asked the hosts if it would be OK for Sam to hang out at the play center with the other kids, and they happily obliged.

It’s good to be famous. And you don’t say no to Batman.

Once the young guests got wind that the superhero was in their midst, they got even more excited. And Detroit Kid City -- which in true SoCal fashion features organic coffee and wheat-grass shots on a “vegan-friendly” refreshment menu -- got a bit of good press out of it too.

“I spoke with Ben for 10 or 15 minutes .... He was very interested in getting a Detroit Kid City out in L.A.,” the venue’s Garrett Dixon told the Free Press. “He said they had a blast.”

Everybody wins!

Also in “Batman v. Superman,” “Game of Thrones” alum Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo in that HBO series, is rumored to be appearing as Aquaman. “The Social Network” star Jesse Eisenberg will play Lex Luthor, Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman and Jeremy Irons takes on Alfred Pennyworth in the film, which will lead in to a planned “Justice League” movie that Zack Snyder also will direct.

“Batman v. Superman” is slated for release in May 2016.
