With Donald Trump bringing a dose of reality TV to the Republican presidential candidates' first debate, held in Ohio on Thursday, Kim Kardashian was doing the same at a fundraiser for Democratic-ticket hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton in Brentwood.

Kardashian called out her mission before heading to the $2,700-a-plate fundraiser: "Excited to be meeting our next President tonight!! Maybe she'll take a selfie with me!," she said on social media.

Mission accomplished.

I got my selfie!!! I really loved hearing her speak & hearing her goals for our country! #HillaryForPresident

Clinton, whose campaign had her talking to home healthcare workers earlier in the day, did indeed pose for a selfie with the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star, whose hubby, Kanye West, photobombed the ladies from behind.

"I got my selfie!!! I really loved hearing her speak & hearing her goals for our country! #HillaryForPresident," said the 34-year-old, who's expecting her second child with West. Hmm, wonder who she wants to vote for?

Others attending the event included Kris Jenner, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Usher, Jason Collins and Mary Steenburgen, Variety reported. The event was held at the Brentwood home of Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande manager Scooter Braun and his wife, Yael Cohen.

This week also saw some debate around Kardashian, over whether her selfie book "Selfish" was actually selling. On Monday, Nielsen Bookscan said only 32,000 copies had moved since its May release: flop city. But publisher Rizzoli stepped in Tuesday to explain that while the number "wasn't inaccurate," it didn't show the whole, shall we say, picture.

Apparently, the book is doing well at "non-bookstore specialty retailers" and internationally, a spokeswoman told Us Weekly in a statement, with more like 125,000 copies sold.

"The book is, in fact, a significant success story as a benchmark of the phenomenon of self-portrait in the digital age," the statement said.

Talk about niche marketing.
