Streep, Kendrick, Blunt dash ‘Into the Woods’ at world premiere

“Into the Woods” they went!

Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick, Emily Blunt and the stars of Disney’s live-action adaptation of the fairytale musical mashup reunited for the world premiere on Tuesday.

The film’s singing stars Streep (The Witch), Kendrick (Cinderella), James Corden (The Baker) and Blunt (The Baker’s Wife) and director Rob Marshall walked the red carpet at New York’s Ziegfeld Theatre, as did “The Office’s” John Krasinski, “Mad Men’s” Jon Hamm and musician Sting.

Noticeably absent were actors Johnny Depp and Chris Pine, who play the Wolf and Cinderella’s Prince respectively.

“Into the Woods,” an adaption of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s 1987 musical, hits theaters on Dec. 25.
